2024 (17th) Birthday Bash Payouts!!!

Hi All,
On behalf of the TD team and your club officers, we thank you all for your patience around these delayed payouts.
Sometimes personal commitments interfere with the best intentions and duties assumed by our volunteer Tournament Directors. This is one of those times. Again, thank you for your patience!

Mike Sale will be sending out payouts via Paypal this afternoon. The entire payout for a given team will go to the Paypal address that was used to pay registration fees.
We’d like to remind everyone that this is not a PDGA event and we typically do not have sponsors to help cover the costs for the event. The result is lower payouts than what some might expect.
 In the spirit of full transparency, here is how they were calculated.

Total Payout (all divisions) = Event Net Profit + Club Support ($7000.00 = $6,383.53 + $616.47)

Event Net Profit includes ~$235 of membership dues paid by people playing the event.

Proceeds from Mulligans were distributed to each division (not all divisions purchase mulligans at the same rate)

Players in the PRO division did not receive a disc as part of the players pack. We valued the discs @ $12 which resulted in an increase of $552.00 to the PRO payout ($12 x 46).

Payouts were then determined for each division based on the number of players with additional adjustments (increases) made for rounding and to ensure the smallest division(s) received a nice payout. These adjustments were covered by the Club’s contribution.

A minimum of 33% of teams were paid out in each division (including ties). This is slightly lower than it would be for a PDGA event.

2025 BTC – Tee Time Logic and Publishing Schedule

Preliminary Tee Times
Preliminary Tee Times have been published for the 2025 Bag Tag Challenge. THESE TEE TIMES ARE NOT FINAL!
Although the tee times published today are NOT FINAL, we will use the same logic detailed below to determine the final tee times.
Final Tee Times
The final order will be determined using the logic below AFTER registration closes on Tuesday, January 14st.
Tee Time Logic
- Tee time spacing is 7 minutes. Closely spaced tee times will ensure the course is full and we can accommodate the most players with the available daylight.
- Groups who choose / chose “Early” and “No preference” will be combined and sorted based on the earliest registration time for any person in the group.
- Group(s) who choose / chose “Late” will be sorted in reverse order based on earliest registration time.
- Players on the standby list will be added to groups who are not full based on their tee time preference and registration time.
- Players on the standby list can make or join a group at any time before registration closes
- We reserve the right to insert 2 – 3 volunteer groups into the first 10 tee times. These groups are reserved for players who will help setup and / or run the tournament.

2021 Summer Bag Tag Bash
RESULTS
Wow. What a week. It was a mad scramble leading up to the event, but I think things went pretty smoothly overall. We had 258 people come out to play either Friday or Saturday, including 23 Women! 77 players joined the club through this event….bringing our total for the year to 569, including 51 women!!!
Congratulations to Jesse Kerfeld for taking home the #001 SFDGC Commemorative bag tag shooting -8 (52) and to Stephanie Ma for besting 22 other women to take home the first ever #001 Women of SFDGC Commemorative bag tag shooting a +8 (68)!!!

- Tee times are subject to minor changes
- Please come by the starter’s table 10 minutes before your published tee time
- COVID-19: Given the recent increase in cases, we need to be cautious this weekend.
- DO NOT come if you are not feeling well
- DO NOT share personal items with other players
- Limit physical contact with others not in your household
- If you are aware of recent close contact with someone who has tested positive, please keep your distance from others and strongly consider wearing a face covering
- PARKING ON SATURDAYÂ will be limited due to a large event at Hellman Hollow on the south side of JFK
- DO NOT move any cones or signs reserving parking spaces for the event
- Park on the NORTH side of JFK or on the south side WEST of the course
- Park on Fulton if there is no available parking on JFK
- The event starts at 12pm — we expect parking to start filling up around 11 – 11:30am
